Over a year? Really?

The older I get, the faster time moves. Imagine my utter shock when I logged in to update my website and noticed that I have not added a new entry in over a year.

I'm currently finished up work on the Wizards Tarot, coming out in March. It was really fun to create, partly because I had a great opportunity to hide some Easter eggs in the images. The deck was influenced by fantasy literature, TV series, and movies. You can see nods to some of my favorites like the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, All Souls Trilogy by Deborah Harkness, JK Rowling's Harry Potter books and movies, and The Magicians (both series and books) by Lev Grossman, for example. There is even a nod to the movie Serenity, although it is actually Sci Fi. Nevertheless, there is a nod to River Tam. Even so, not knowing these works will absolutely not get in the way of working with this deck. So even if you aren't as big a nerd as I am, you'll still love it...if you love magic, that is.

The Queen of Cups was posted a while ago (you can see it HERE).

And here are a few more that I really like and hope you do, too. I said just a few but got carried away. There are so many I like.

Oh, I have an idea for a deck that I would not want to post here but I would love to share it with you sometime.

Hi! I just got this deck yesterday, and I’m thrilled! The art is amazing, and I really connect to it. Do you have a list or post somewhere detailing the symbols on the cards? And talking about the pop culture influences for each image? I am really curious!!

Hello Barbara. Amazing work. It really has a touch of magic and wizardness in them with the mist effects and a touch of darkness. I really like it. The High Priestess (I think it's HP reminds me of Angelina Jolie, lol). Anyway I am not a collector of decks, but I do admire different artwork. I have a book called Tarot (published by Taschen) where hundreds of different decks are presented. Sometimes I catch myself spending hours of my time staring at the cards. I wish I could have more time, lol.
